This Valentine's Day speak volumes when you give your dear one a massage package to show your commitment to their health and happiness.

Nestled in the heart of Seattle’s lower Queen Anne neighborhood, the MarQueen Hotel is a boutique hotel built in 1918 that combines old world charm with modern amenities. Dreamclinic first partnered with the hotel in the spring of 2010 when it started providing in-room massage services to weary hotel guests. The feedback from MarQueen guests and from the hotel staff was phenomenal and this became the foundation of a successful long-term partnership between the hotel and Dreamclinic.
The incredible Dreamclinic community did it again. Our dearly-beloved clients, business associates, and staff all voted at the end of 2010 for Seattle's Best Massage categories on Best of Citysearch and it spoke volumes!

Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of health care and treatments on the planet, but it still serves its purposes even today. Now, while inserting dozens of needles into your bo
dy doesn't seem like the most fun way to treat ailments, acupuncture is a tried and true therapeutic practice that has helped people deal with pain for centuries.

As the name suggests, Cupping Therapy uses a combination of negative pressure and massage movements with the use of a suction device. Cupping therapy is a Negative Pressure technique that is used to achieve a wide range of responses, ranging from extreme relaxation to therapeutic.

A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the type of cups being used, a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the underlying tissue into the cup. The suction level can range from light to heavy, and the movements performed by the therapist can be either stimulating or sedating, depending on the needs of the client. The produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood circulation to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue and releases a myriad pain causing factors.
In keeping with tradition, this fall, Citysearch once again held voting for Best of Seattle in a variety of Health and Beauty Categories, including a number of massage specialties.
On December 3rd, Citysearch announced the winners based on popular voting. Dreamclinic claimed first place in eight out of nine massage categories including Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Thai Massage and others.
How big are the acupuncture needles?
An acupuncturist works by inserting ultra-thin needles (about the diameter of a strand of hair) into the subcutaneous tissues of the body at very specific locations. In addition to needlework, acupuncture uses several adjunct modalitare - moxibustion (heat therapy), cupping therapy and Chinese gua-sha (dermal friction) - that generate heat and loosen muscle tissue to increase the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment.
Do the acupuncture needles hurt?
Acupuncture, with a history of more than 3,000 years, is based on the belief that a certain life-force energy (“chi”) flows throughout your body along energy pathways called meridians. When the flow of chi becomes blocked or unbalanced at any point on a pathway this is what leads to illness.
The goal of acupuncture is to unblock and rebalance the flow of chi to stimulate the body’s own ability to return to healthy functioning. To learn more, read the Acupuncture FAQ
